1. If you could compete in one Olympic event (not necessarily winter sports) what would it be?
Hmm.. I'm not what most would think of as athletic. The most random answer I can think of would be Rhythmic Gymnastics... you know the gymnastics where they twirl the streamers as they do back flips etc.
2. Do remember a specific Olympic moment from the past?
I remember when Nadia got her perfect 10s. I think that dates me. I also remember when Mary Lou got hers. I probably should've just gone with Mary Lou.
3. Have you ever known anyone who competed in the Olympics?
Nope. But I had a friend in college who was a volunteer worker and got to be in the opening and closing ceremonies in LA 1984. Does that count?
4. If everyday activities were Olympic-worthy, which activity would you have a gold medal in?
Googling. I'm the self-proclaimed Queen of the Google search.
5. Do you know anything about your ethnic heritage?
Some. My mom is 100% Dutch, from sturdy farm stock in the Dakotas. My maiden name is French and there is a beagle with the same name and there is some funny story about carpet makers smuggled from France to England in wine barrels. But there isn't any French in my family. My dad jokes about smart Germans who pretended to be French to escape death. I don't know if it's true.
6. Do you enjoy sleeping late?
To a point - usually about 8:30. After that I feel wasted the rest of the day.
7. Have you ever performed CPR on anyone? Do you know how? (Yes, that's two, I know. Whatevs.)
No. Yes (although my certificate is expired).
8. Name one country you'd like to visit and explain why.
Ireland. Surferman is Irish. Ireland is always so beautiful in movies. Anyone see Leap Year? It's on my latest list of 101 Things to Do.
9. Have you ever fixed up a couple romantically?
No. I try hard to stay out of others romances.
10. What is the last book you read?
The Christmas Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverni
11.Do you enjoy sleeping late? NO, YOU write the question! How's that for random??
It's random. It's hard to write you're own random question because I keep thinking of what the answer would be before. How about a random answer? orange lunchbox with yellow hibiscus flowers.
12. What is your favorite meal at your favorite restaurant?
Lately, I've been thinking about Thai Food. I haven't been able to figure out how to have it and stay on my diet. Favorite meal? I'd say Tom Kha Gai soup, Pad Thai Noodles and a Thai Iced Tea.
