Friday Fave Five

If you've read my blog for any length of time, you know I like to join bloggers who provide blog prompts. I found a new one that I'm going to give a go. Friday's Fave Five is hosted by Susanne at Living to Tell the Story.

Here is how Susanne describes it...
It's a place to come on Friday's and think back over your week and just post about 5 favorite things from your week. It can be anything that tickled your fancy over the week. Favorite quotes, posts, happenings, scriptures, recipes, pictures, great internet finds, etc., etc.
1. Chuck was back this week. Sunday was the 2 hour premiere and Monday brought another hour. Zac Levi is hilarious (he rocked Alvin and the Chipmunks) and the rest of the cast is great. Adam Baldwin is perfect in his role of Casey. The romance between Chuck and Sarah continues to be complicated. New adventures are in store as the Nerd Herd Best Buy Buy More employee sets out to save the world and get the girl. Chuck has some mad skills this season. You can watch full episodes at Hulu.

2. Cauliflower is really yummy. I've been eating a lot of it this week. Can't seem to get enough. Cauliflower, a highly nutritious vegetable, contains many nutrients that can help prevent a range of diseases from cancer to cataracts.

Guess what I'm having for dinner tonight?

3. The start of Marvelous Mondays. We used to have Fabulous Fun Friday. We had to take a hiatus as Grom started kindergarten and schedules changed. Well the buddies are back in the same gymnastics class and Fabulous Fun Friday has morphed into Marvelous Mondays. (Grom still calls it Fabulous Fun Monday. Somebody needs to teach that kid about alliteration). We've cut out the Panda Express (and lunch) which is ok. I don't think I can stay on plan with Medifast at Panda Express. We still shop, hit Starbucks and solve the world's problems. Spending time with my friend Stacey is always one of my favorite things to do.

4. The McCulloughs. My parents have lots of friends. Some of my favorites are Bill and Shirley. They are in town and visiting. It's nice to have them around. They brought Grom night vision goggles for Christmas. How cool is that?

They travel in a big old Safari motor home hence the photo.

5. If you need a good laugh, come on over when I've got The Biggest Loser Wii game going. I crack up my 18 month old niece Maggie. Her laugh is adorable. I exercise with Bob. I am amazed by how close and yet far away they got at making the computer Bob look like the real Bob. I'm distracted as I huff and puff by the careful placement of tattoos. It's not easy. I feel like an oaf. But it's an exercising oaf and I'm proud of that.

What have been your favorite things this week?

  1. Glad to have you at FFF with us!

My husband and I were so glad to see Chuck come back -- we think it's great fun.

Night vision goggles for Christmas? I have four sons, so I have an idea of what boys like. He must have been THRILLED. The coolest! Come on over and see me at Outnumbered Mom.

I didn't know they had a biggest loser for the Wii. You go girl!

Your time with your friend sounds wonderful. It's always good to share some time with a good friend.

Night vision goggles. How fun. I'll bet your little one loves them.
