Daybook August 4, 2008

FOR TODAY August 8, 2008...

Outside My Window... It's summer. I see families of tourists carrying their beach gear down the street to the beach. I am blessed to live where people want to vacation.

I am thinking... about how lame my excuses are. Boy do I have a lot of excuses.

I am thankful for... Princess Maggie is home! Hospitalized friends are doing well after their respective surgeries. School with Grom - we have so much fun.

From the kitchen... French Bread Pizza (bread was free for doing a survey from the market), organic green salad and yummy watermelon.

I am wearing... Blue capri pants, new white t-shirt that has some beautiful embroidered detailing at the neck (not my usual plain tee), bronze crocs sandals - definitely not frumpy.

I am creating... I'm playing some with Photoshop.

I am going... to MAUI in 17 days, 3 hours, 44 minutes and some odd seconds.

I am reading... more Hudson Taylor. I'm gathering my book list for vacation.

I am hoping... Grom will have great swimming lessons this week and next.

I am hearing... crickets and someone scrounging around in the kitchen.

Around the house... I'm trying to slay the clutter monster, 15 minutes at a time.

One of my favorite things... staying up really, really, really late and getting things done.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Grom has swim lessons, lunch with the ladies, Women's Ministry Ice Cream Social, Tech Team Work Day... pheew.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...N0, it's not a lemon bar covered with caraway seeds. This is Grom's take home from Sunday School last week. It's a sponge with grass seed on top. If we water it and pray (HARD, I'm guessing) it will sprout. I'm not sure what the lesson was - but faith the size of a mustard seed would work. I hope to share a picture of a lawn covered sponge very soon.

  1. Coming over from the Simple Woman's Daybook -

Wow! Maui, how cool. I would be counting the days too. The sponge/grass thing is a very cool visual. What a creative idea from his S.S. teacher.
