Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.I found an easy way to put part of the command of 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 into (unfortunately) daily practice.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV
I wrote things I want to pray for on my clothes pins / laundry pegs / whatever you call them.
I list family members, character traits for myself, Surferman and Grom, even President Bush has his own clothes pin.
It adds to my laundry experience. I never know who or what I'm going to pull out of the pocket of my apron. I add to them when I think of it.
Works for me!

This is a GREAT idea! I love having the reminders to pray all around. I don't hang my clothes to dry, can I still steal this tip??? I'm always looking for a way to surround the family with encouraging words and scripture verses.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the blog. I have to admit I'm a bit worried about bringing my laundry cubbies with me when we move. We have a house out in the country that we hope to return to. There isn't ANY room for my awesome laundry organizer. Can I justify a remodel for one shelving unit?? Don't answer that. LOL.

Great idea!
ReplyDeleteAnd Robin, I haven't had problems with no shows for freecycle. Our group here is not all that active and is still a little small.
I do participate in a group about 40 minutes away and they have tons of problems with no shows. The owner of the group will ban someone if they don't show more than one time. I don't know if that has helped. But I think that's all you can do. Some people just stink. I think you just have to live with it?
Take care!
What a terrific reminder to pray for all your blessings. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. :)
I love that idea!!! I love hanging out my clothes. We also use clothes pins to close up opened bags of food. I will definetly use this tip! :o)
